Grant Lake, a hidden gem in the Sierra Nevada. We pulled into this place to escape the crowds during Father's day weekend and found deep serenity with views that shock you every morning. This lake is a boondocker's paradise; just pull your rig right up to the water's edge, spread out your camp and forget about the rest of the world for a while. You will be greeted with stunning views throughout the day from the sunrise glowing behind several very large mountain peaks to the sunset that lights those same chiseled mountains up bright orange, then the night sky will leave you wishing you didn't need to sleep and could just watch the milky way dance in the reflection of the lake all night. If you like to fish, then you're in for a treat, because this place is regularly stocked and never over fished. You're sure to catch your fill as you listen to the birds sing a morning song.
